The ５th day of FB Art challenge.

It was tough to pick my works for the last day. 
I intended to choose commercial arts, before I started my Peekaboo contemporary art. 
One is a design of a scarf for Cristion Dior Japon. 
I studied this kind of classic design at art college in Japan.. 
Old memories〜.
Next, one of my earlier work, design and creation of the charactors for the ad.
Last, Charactor design for an opening animation for TV sequence show. 
It was simple drawing and I only used 3 colors, white, blue and red.

クリスチャンディオールジャパンのスカーフデザインをちょっとやっていました。
けっこう売れていた。いろんな商品への展開があったし。傘とかハンカチとか。
お遊び革命ってゲーム機の広告。キャラデザインと制作。
駅貼りポスター連貼りとか気持ちよかった。
あとは、TV連続ドラマの「続・星の金貨」オープニングアニメのキャラとか描いた作品。
白組さんとの仕事で嬉しかったよ。
このころの酒井法子さんの関連グッズとかあれこれやってた。
そういえばX-Japanのヒデさんの仕事とかJ-Pop系のも紹介しようと思ったんだが日本に置いて来てしまい紹介できず。
２０−３０代はいろいろあって楽しかったなー。人生飽きないね。

The 4th day of FB Art challenge.

I provided characters, icon, and background illustration for Match Match Planet, 
online game by Sony Entertainment Corporation (So-Net). 
The game was so unpopuler and I think it was not my fault! 
It was not a good concept of the payment game for chatting 
and fortune telling platform. 
People don't want to pay for just chatting online. 
Again, this is not my fault. 
幻のオンラインゲーム。
マッチマッチプラネットのキャラとかまあ全部やったときがあって、
ソニーコミュニケーションズだっけかな。So-net？
チャットで課金て企画が無理あったと当初から思ってた。
だけど今のように広告でネットの収入ていうビジネスモデルが出来てなかったから
皆がいろいろ苦心してた、そんな時代だった。
けっこういろいろな媒体に紹介してもらってたけど（だってソネットだもんね）
でも使用する人も増えなくて消えちゃった。

The 3rd day of FB Art challenge

When I was in a junior high,I longed to became an illustrator. 
I wanted to see my drawings on fashion magazies, cosmetic packages, etc. 
I especially loved package of Kanebo paper powder series. 
I became grown up and then I became an illustrator. 
I done many magazines, create many characters for animated TV CM, 
then finaly the project that Kanebo paper powder series. 
Today's posts are illustrations that I made my dream of junior high's. (total 15 various) 
I remember when I finished the project I felt to move the next step of my life.
私は中学生のときにイラストレーターに憧れてて、
ファッション雑誌とかカネボウ化粧品のあぶらとりがみ、紙おしろいのイラストが好きでした。
（当時は葉祥明さんだった）で、いろんな雑誌のイラストやったりCMのアニメキャラやったりして、
とうとう中学の時のあこがれだったカネボウのあぶらとりがみ紙おしろいの仕事もやった。
で、なんかもう商業アートはいいやって正直この時に思ったの覚えてる。

After I graduated from Art university, 
I didn't have anything but doing everyday for a while B/W drawing 
with a pen and ink. 
Is it a kind of Manga? I have no idea.　
OH! These darawings were used to the catalog of 
The First Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. 
I totaly forgot that incident.

大学卒業後しばらく白黒のペン画を描いてた。
漫画の一種と言えるのかな。
確か第一回東京国際レズビアン&ゲイ映画祭のパンフレットに使われたんだった！
すっかり忘れてた。

I pick my artworks from old days before I started “Peekaboo”
I have posted many pics of Peekaboo-art already so I thought it is a nice opportunity to show my other works.
These 3 pics are stage art for a fringe music theater and a cosmetic company, and an ad in Japan. 
I loved into painting on big clothes and people asked me to do for theater plays and commercial advertisement. 
Those are like 12 x 25 feet.
顔出しクンの作品はすでにいくつか投稿しているので、今回は顔出しクン以前の作品を出す事にしました。
これらは大きな布の絵で、コンサートや広告の仕事で描きました。
楽しかったな。

Manga Report of "Aliens in New York" 2014

A Manga report of "Aliens in New York 2014" art project was finally done.

Color, 25 pages, the report is continued from last year.

The project is a of the audience participatory public art which I started the art style in Harajuku Tokyo from 1994 . 

I have poured my art life to the project. 

The aim is to provide art experience to community, being and imagine transforming to other people with using Peekaboo-board art devices, promoting mutual understandings among different ethnicities, religions, races, genders, and other social standings, and making better life, place and future.

I distribute the pdf Manga report to people who make $2＋donation during 2014 calendar year.

The art project is supported by NYFA, New York Foundation for the Arts, thus your donation is tax deductible. (only in USA, sorry)

It is a rare chance to read Rica's Manga, who was awarded as one of Best Manga 2013 by the best manga panel in San Diego Comicon, Otaku USA.

今年も昨年に引き続き「Aliens in New York」アートプロジェクトのレポ―ト漫画が出来ました。

カラー２５ページです。

このアートは、１９９４年原宿から始めた観客参加型のパブリックアート「あおぞらアート」の進化形で、私の作家生命を注いでおります。

タイトルは２０１０年に青森県立美術館さんで展示した「Aliens from New York」がきっかけとなりました。コンセプはト他民族や性差年齢差などのユニークなダイバシティに理解共鳴することで、地より良い域コミュニティを構築する事です。

この漫画は寄付をして下さった方向けで、２０１４年の１月から１２月３１日まで２ドル以上の寄付をして下さった方にデジタル版を配布しています。

プロジェクトはNYFA（NY州芸術財団）の支援を受けて運営されていますので、寄付はすべて税金控除対象になります。（米国以外ではなりません、すいません。）
